The filter cloth acts as a filtering media, which can intercept soild materials. The intercepted materials will hold up in chambers and become filter cakes. After filtration, you can open the pressurized system, and filter cakes will drop down easily. That is to say, filter cloth and filter plates play an important role in solid liquid separation of sludge.
